Thank you God for your consistency!

This is an area I fall very short, despite my efforts. I am not the same day to day. Some days I am:

*Tired

*Cranky

*Anxious

*Sad

*Happy

*Frustrated

*Patient

*Impatient

*Grateful

*Selfish

Often this changes by the minute or hour…

Cue Carrie Underwood…Jesus take the wheel! My moods are swinging.

Thankfully Jesus is consistent – the same minute after minute, day after day, week after week, year after year. He is perfect. We are not.

Phew. Pressure is off! We can study God’s word and pray to offset these crazy ups and downs we will face in this lifetime. But we don’t have to figure it all out on our own. We don’t have to rely on our own power.

When things feel a little out of control, remember God is still the same. He hasn’t changed a bit.

Psalm 37:23-24

The Lord directs the steps of the Godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble they will never fall for the Lord holds them by the hand. Psalm 37:23-24

The Lord directs the steps of the Godly… what a relief! This takes the pressure off of us. God leads the way, and His ways are higher than our ways. So we can rest easy and follow his lead.

He delights in every detail of their lives…Not just some details – EVERY detail! Talk to God throughout the day. He wants to be a part of our whole life, not just on Sunday.

Though they stumble they will never fall…Tough times will come but they won’t overcome us.

The Lord holds them by the hand… The God who created the earth, moon, stars, seas, animals, and everything else holds our hand. He’s always there. What a promise.

Fruit salsa

I am a huge salsa fan! I make mango avocado salsa frequently because it’s delish. You can find that recipe here.

My second fav: FRUIT SALSA

I use a variety of fruit:

**Red delicious apples-peeled and chopped

**Strawberries – remove stems and chop

**Kiwi fruit – peeled and chopped

**Raspberries chopped

Mix all fruit together and add a couple tablespoons of jam (I used strawberry but really any flavor will do)

To avoid added sugar, I don’t include much else, but you can put in a couple tablespoons of white or brown sugar if you feel it’s necessary.

Add a few squirts of lemon juice and stir.

Serve with cinnamin crackers.
